Episode 3 – Wren Robbins – Living With the In-Laws and Following God’s Nudge

I called today’s episode “everyday welcome – living with the in-laws and following God’s nudge…” and maybe we should’ve interviewed Wren’s husband Jim to ask about the in-laws part.  The two of them and their sweet son have been staying with Wren’s parents while they build their dream home.  And by dream home, I mean the place they dream of hosting those God calls them to invite.  And speaking of inviting, Wren is a podcast coach, which means she helps women start podcasts so that they can live out their God-given calling online and invest their time in growing their businesses.  I became friends with Wren because she radiates joy – and it’s clear that joy is in Jesus.  Our friendship was cemented when she shared about her love for studying the Bible chronologically, which has really deepened her faith and her understanding of God’s character.  Have fun getting to know Wren and hear a little of how God has worked in her life to draw her into living the #invitinglife!

A few takeaways from our chat:

  • Even when you’re living with the in-laws, you can practice living the inviting life.  One way is to be intentional about growing your relationships in the home (generational discipleship, anyone?)!
  • Listening to God can lead us to changing plans – for the better.
  • Your “job” can be a tool you use for God’s glory and for sharing Him with others!
