Favorite Fast Whole30 Recipes (#SeptemberWhole30)

Are you considering doing a #SeptemberWhole30? Is Whole30 something you’ve considered? I’ve completed five now, and each time I do, I feel so good both physically and spiritually, that I long to do another. I thought I’d share some of my favorite fast Whole30 recipes (with some best tips for Whole30) to encourage you, too! Whether you’re interested in Whole30, want to eat healthier, or just love good food, you’ll enjoy these recipes… some have become our very favorites.

Breakfast Whole30 Recipes

This could go under the “breakfast for dinner” category which our family loves – try making the parts in advance – but this Paleo Huevos Rancheros recipe is an all-time favorite for our crew!

My coconut mojito keto breakfast smoothie is so delicious – it’s light and bright but so filling.  (Be careful with smoothies – you don’t want to try to replace a “habit” with less filling substitutes.)

I LOVE breakfast for supper, and this butternut pizza hash would be a favorite for breakfast or dinner!  Paleo Running Mama is a great source for healthy recipes!

Soup for breakfast is a favorite for me, and I make a batch of this “breakfast soup” and store it in Mason jars, and eat it for lots of meals!

(Warm pumpkin breakfast bowl recipe photo above is from Jenny on the Spot, used with permission.)

Bowls like these white sweet potato breakfast bowls became a huge hit with our whole family – whether we’re doing a Whole30 or not!  Bonus: you can meal prep them in advance and have a hot breakfast all week!

Fall – pumpkin – breakfast bowls.  Say no more.  (Jenny also has a great post with Trader Joe’s Whole30 compliant foods!)

Instant Pot & Slow Cooker Whole30 Recipes

Balsamic Pot Roast was a favorite every time we’ve done a Whole 30 challenge, and it still is.  We love this with Venison!

I love Castaway Kitchen, and her “feel good soup” is amazing.

This Tandoori chicken recipe is written for the stove top.  Instead, put all the ingredients in an instant pot and pressure cook for 30 minutes.  Remove the top, shred, and saute for five minutes to thicken sauce.  YUM.

Did I mention I love soup?  This Instant Pot beef and cabbage soup is simple and delicious.

My husband LOVES short ribs.  We once went to the same restaurant several years in a row for our anniversary so he could order the Asian-style short ribs.  This Instant Pot short rib recipe makes him happy.  🙂

Give these pantry-ingredient salmon burgers a try!

Fast Dinner Whole30 Recipes

Fast dinners are necessary in our house (where we often juggle dad’s inconsistent ministry schedule or school sports), and sheet pan dinners are a favorite.

My Greek Burger Bowls are super fast and they explode with flavor – and they’re great if you like to meal prep foe Whole30! (Tip: double this recipe for leftovers breakfast, lunch or dinner!)

Try this super simple sheet pan roasted garlic salmon with broccoli!

I think we eat chicken wings, thighs, or legs three times a week when we’re eating healthy, and they’re great for #SeptemberWhole30!  Try these drumsticks (we do them on a sheet pan) – tangy, spicy, YUM.

Paleo Salmon Burgers are perfectly fast and made with pantry ingredients to make fast Whole30 recipes totally doable.

(Recipe photo above is from What Grandma Ate, used with permission.)

Oh yum, butter chicken in the instant pot.  We love this recipe as a family!  It’s fast, the ingredient list is very manageable, and if you manage to have any leftovers, it keeps well!

Quinoa is a no-go for Whole30, but this recipe for a delicious autumn quinoa salad with sweet potatoes, cherries and walnuts has a couple easy swaps that make it compliant.  SO GOOD.

Lunch & On-the-Go Whole30 Recipes

These Whole30 Power Bowls are gorgeous and totally packable.  Make them on the weekend and enjoy for several meals!

Make these fish taco bowls (oh, how I love fish tacos) for dinner and save leftovers for lunch the next day (pack separately for freshness).

Can I tell you I ate jalapeno popper ice cream this summer?  It was most definitely not Whole30.  But it was wildly wonderful!!  This jalapeno popper chicken salad is Whole 30 compliant and is perfect for lunch!!

Below: my Whole30 Greek Burger Bowls.

WHOLE30 GREEK BURGER BOWLS

Make Ahead, Freeze, & Meal Prep Whole 30 Recipes

So easy, this 6 ingredient garlic chicken gets doubled, stored in zip-top bags in the fridge, and used for salads, over spiralized veggies, and by itself for breakfast.

Also an Instant Pot recipe, this “faux pho” is perfect to make on Sunday and store in jars to reheat all week.

Decadent, Fancy Whole30 Recipes

(Balsamic pork chops recipe photo above is from Paleo Running Mama, used with permission.)

These balsamic pork chops are so autumn-y, so rich, sweet and delicious… and anything in an iron skillet is so beautiful.

I haven’t made it yet, but I’m putting this incredible Greek Burger for Whole30 on the menu for a relaxed weekend afternoon!

Whole30 CreamsiclesI think yes – and I would add a tablespoon of coconut cream or coconut oil before blending.  Throw in some fresh spinach for bonus points!

Put horseradish sauce on everything.  Because yum.

Bonus: Whole30 Tips and Tricks

These tips from me and others around the web were super helpful for me!

  • The official Whole30 Website is full of free resources to get you started.  Be sure to download the Whole30 Starter Kit!
  • Be prepared to giggle at The Pike Place Kitchen’s “Whole30 survival kit.” She captures the hard part of Whole30 in the best way – and with tips!
  • Make infused waters.  They’re SO easy, and they make getting your water intake much yummier.  Often when you feel hungry, your body is telling you it needs hydration!
  • Our whole family completed a Whole 30 together over birthdays and camping trips – those are some of our tips!
  • Here’s a devotional post on things I learned from my Whole30 journey.
  • I highly recommend the Whole30 books It Starts With Food and The Whole 30.  The Whole30 website is also full of tips and reference information.  If you’re going to dive into such a very specific program, it’s more than a good idea to understand why you’re doing it.  You’ll need to tell yourself a few times along the way why it’s worth it, and fortunately/unfortunately, you’ll probably have to tell well-meaning friends and family a thing or two as well (there’s advice for that…)
  • My parents bought the Whole30 Fast and Easy Cookbook just to experiment with healthier, easier meals, and they love it!  *As a Christian I can tell you the authors begin from an evolutionary perspective I disregard, but the science behind the nutrition and gut health and the writing is enlightening, witty, easy to read, and so informative!
  • I’m an Aldi girl… and this post is a great round-up of Aldi Whole30 finds… as is this one… ok, and this one!  Other favorite stores?  Try my Whole30 Pinterest board or just search Pinterest for “whole30 – and the store name.”
  • This huge list of Keto Instant Pot Recipes isn’t necessarily all Whole30 compliant, but most recipes are very close and easily adaptable!
  • Erin’s blog The Wooden Skillet is gorgeous, and her “where to start Whole30” post is so helpful!
